About Christine Joy
Christine’s passion for dancing began at the age of 5, and she continued to showcase her talent by participating in school dance competitions during college. She also enrolled at Regine Tolentino (RT) Studios to develop her skills under the following courses: Personality Development, Modeling, Dancing, Hosting, and Singing. In 2013, Christine joined a modeling contest and earned 4 awards which helped launch her career in modeling. By 2016, she was chosen to perform as Princess Courtney, the lead dancer, during the Barbie Rock n’ Royals Concert Experience at the Mall of Asia. Christine was also involved with Shopkins, portraying Poppette, Peppamint, and Bubbleisha at various Meet and Greet events held at SM and Robinsons Malls, as well as Lucky Chinatown. She was further casted as Peppamint for the first interactive Shopkins live concert in the Philippines held at SM North Edsa Skydome. Additionally, she performed as a backup dancer in Eurika’s "Pakaingatan" music video, which aired on Myx in 2016. Christine also participated in a Real Bride Magazine shoot as an entourage model.
As to Christine’s acting career, she attended trainings with Direk Anne Villegas at Light of Life Talent Management Inc., where she focused on developing her skills for TV acting. During this time, she was given roles that allowed her to deliver lines and gain experience in front of the camera. In the scenes she was part of, she had the opportunity to work and converse with well-known actors and actresses such as Megan Young and Mikael Daez in The StepDaughters, Lauren Young and Geoff Eigenmann in Contessa, Mika Dela Cruz in Kara Mia, and Alden Richards in The Gift.
